This is page 12 of the Five Mile Creek School 1949 yearbook, a good example of the creative effort despite the lack of resources, typical of the one-room school. The yearbook has 15 hand-written pages containing: photographs, biographies of the grade 8 “graduates,” an inspiring message from the teacher, Phyllis Stewart, and accounts of sports and social activities during the year.
