St. Augustine Mission on the Shaftesbury Trail had a priest who was a keen photographer. Some of the photographs are in the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre’s archival collection and others in the Diocesan Archives in Grande Prairie. After the mission closed in 1950, the cameras were donated to the Girouxville Museum.
