Dr. E G Hollies married Annie Robertson. She was born in 1905 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and came to Canada with her parents in 1911.
She attended the University Hospital in Edmonton where she joined the first nursing class to graduate from the U of A in 1926. It was at the university that she met Edward, and in October 1929 they were married. Dr. Hollies and his wife moved to Waskateneau, and he commuted nine miles to the hospital at Smokey Lake. In 1936, the Hollies family decided to move to the Peace River country. Annie had four children. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for many years.
