Thomas John and Lilian Ada Palser brought this spinning wheel, along with the rest of their furniture, to Canada in 1910. They made their way across the Atlantic in a freighter boat that sailed from England to Montreal, Quebec. From there, they went to Minnedosa, Manitoba, before making their way to the White Mountain and Spirit River areas, where they settled down on a homestead. Lillian Ada spun wool from her own stock and made sacks and mitts for many settlers and homesteaders.
