Eva Matychuk painted this egg in the 1950s. It is decorated with dyes made of green and brown onion peel, that was soaked in water. Eva and her husband Peter emigrated from the Ukraine to Reno, Alberta in 1929. They were among some of the first homesteaders in that area.
