102 - Japane Balloon bomb

Hudson’s Hope Museum

The balloon bomb was found in 1948, in Lynx Creek, by Bill Carter and Stanley Wallace. Pieces of the mulberry paper, used for the 30 foot diameter balloon that carried the bomb, are still attached. As an incendiary bomb, it would explode as soon as it landed. Thousands where let fly during the latter part of WW1.
